Earlier in this series, Michael Kerr, MD. (see the home page about monthly webcasts) has focused on how a way of thinking (Bowen theory) translates to a way of being; How the multigenerational transmission process differs from the conventional models of development; and looking at how conventional diagnostic catagories like PTSD and borderline personality disorder look in terms of Bowen theory. One of the things this space will be used for is to report on our meetings. We can do summaries of ideas presented so that people can become familiar with the wide range of topics theory can illuminate. We will take comments as well if people want to make them. The first blog reporting on one of our meetings will be after the February 11 webcast with Michael Kerr, MD. He wrote
Family Evaluation with Murray Bowen and people who attend our programs know him. Check our home page for information about the webcast on Feb. 11 and check back here for our first attempt to report on our programs in the blogosphere. Laura Havstad

Welcome to our new blog. With this space we'll be able to report on what is going on both within our own programs and around the network. There will be no claim to be comprehensive and complete because there is a lot going on out there, but one link leads to another and we will try to be a contributing hub.
Today our first newsletter went out by email featuring our programs for February - my seminar on theory and clinical practice with Dr. Dan Papero as guest faculty, on Friday February 22 in Sebastopol, and the conference with Dan Papero at Sonoma State U on Saturday, February 23 on Fundamentals of Relationships, and the webcast with Dr. Michael Kerr on February 11 in Santa Rosa. Check our home page for more information on these meetings - and sign up for our newsletter if you would like emails about what we are doing. For some of the news around the country and sometimes beyond, check out our Network Links to other educational and training programs.
