WELCOME TO PROGRAMS IN BOWEN THEORY
Programs in Bowen Theory conducts educational programs in Bowen family systems theory for the helping professions and the public. Located in Sonoma County, California and part of a network of programs affiliated with the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington, D.C., Programs in Bowen Theory sponsers meetings and training seminars in Northern California, and serves as a center for the Northern California network of professionals using the Bowen theory in practice.
Bowen family systems theory focuses on relationships and emotional processes as they shape individual behavior and development. Based in the natural sciences and systems thinking, the principles of the theory are a clear and reliable guide to improving the long term well being of people in their families, worksystems and all their social networks.
